Dr. Maikranz has been providing clinical services in the Lincoln area for more than 22 years. She specializes in working with females ages 10 through adulthood. Her primary areas of focus include anxiety disorders (including OCD), depression, and adolescent/college adjustment concerns.
Her therapeutic approach emphasizes building resilience and psychological flexibility by helping clients understand the complex relationships among the body, brain, behavior, and mind. Dr. Maikranz utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches such as Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and she enjoys integrating elements of Christian counseling when requested.
In addition, Dr. Maikranz is trained in biofeedback, neurofeedback, and polyvagal theory. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology from the University of Kansas and completed her internship training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Maikranz enjoys spending time with her husband and their five children.
